Dive Deeper

Apple TV 4K (2026), also known as Apple TV 4K (4th generation) or simply Apple TV 4K is Apple's latest TV box that makes your TV smart with access to Live TV, streaming services such as Apple TV, Disney+ and Netflix as well as other Apple services including Arcade, Fitness+ and FaceTime.

Apple TV 4K uses an A19 chip, which originally made its debut in the iPhone 17 in September 2025. This new chip brings performance and speed improvements to the TV box, along with Apple Intelligence and Siri AI.

The device has built-in speakers, so you can now activate Siri with your voice without using the Siri Remote. Previous models did not have these microphones which can pick up Siri commands from a distance, so you had to always keep the remote handy.

Apple TV 4K can also be used as an Apple Home hub, so you can control your smart home devices in the Apple Home app on your Apple devices.

Unlike its predecessor, the current generation is available in just one configuration, with an Ethernet port. Previously, Apple sold a Wi-Fi only model alongside its Ethernet offering. However, the device has seen a significant price increase.

The base storage has also been increased, up to 128GB from 64GB.

Who is this Apple TV for?

Apple TV 4K is for users who want to upgrade their home entertainment setup with a powerful central hub powered by tvOS. The TV box can be paired with a range of third-party TV screens, as Apple does not offer their own.
