This device was the first iPhone to use a titanium frame for better durability and lighter weight.

Apple introduced the USB-C port to iPhone 15 Pro Max, ahead of new regulatory requirements in the EU. The USB-C port of pro models supported USB 3 speeds.

iPhone 15 Pro Max introduced a new Action button, a re-programmable button that can be set to any action of the users choice. This replaced the silent switch, which had been on every iPhone model since the original in 2007.

This model uses the first-ever A-series pro chip, the A17 Pro. Apple did not create a standard A17 chip.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max is the oldest model that supports Apple Intelligence and Siri AI.

This device supported 10x optical zoom and 25x digital zoom, which was higher than the maximum zoom on 15 Pro.
