iPhone 16 Pro

iPhone 16 Pro was Apple's flagship iPhone for the 2024/25 cycle, featuring a titanium frame, the all-new Camera Control button and significantly thinner bezels compared to it's predecessor and the base model iPhone 16.

The device was discontinued following the release on iPhone 17 Pro in September 2025.

Titanium

iPhone 16 Pro was the second generation of Pro models to feature a titanium frame, following the switch from stainless steel on the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. It was also the last to use titanium, before the company switched to aluminium for better thermal performance.

Camera Control

Apple introduced the Camera Control button with the iPhone 16 lineup (excluding iPhone 16e). This button acts as a way to open the camera app, and as a shutter button to take photos. The haptic feedback in the button allows different levels of pressure and gestures to be made with the button, such as swiping along the surface to adjust zoom or switching through tools.

Long-pressing Camera Control opened the visual intelligence interface on iOS 18 and iOS 26. In iOS 27, a long-press takes you to the camera app under the new dedicated Siri tab.

Thinner Bezels

iPhone 16 Pro has an expansive display, that reaches 6.3-inches due to the thinner bezels. The previous iPhone 15 Pro had a 6.1-inch screen and slightly thicker bezels.

Apple Intelligence Controversy

This device was featured in a range of Apple Intelligence advertisements, that featured an intelligent version of Siri with personal context and on-screen awareness.

Many customers purchased the device on the premise that they will receive Apple's new suite of AI features, including the next generation Siri.

This version of Siri faced delays and ultimately launched two years later in 2026.

Apple has since agreed to pay a $250 million settlement in the United States, but has denied any wrongdoing.
