iPhone 17 Pro Max was Apple's flagship iPhone for the 2025/2026 product cycle, built for professional photography & videography with Genlock support & the ability to record 4K Dolby vision video up to 120 fps.

Apple introduced an all-new aluminium unibody design with this generation of Pro iPhone, replacing Titanium for a metal that is much more efficient at dissipating heat. In addition to aluminium for thermal gains, Apple introduced a vapour chamber to help keep the device cool.

The company's move away from titanium and stainless steel, which is found on the iPhone 14 Pro Max and older, has been criticised by some as the material is less durable.

Many users reported significant dents in their iPhone after small drops.

Apple introduced a very bold, and now iconic, Cosmic Orange finish to the 17 Pro Max. This joined Silver and Deep Blue, with Apple skipping out on a black finish.

The iPhone 17 Pro Max could be upgraded to 2TB of storage, and cost almost £2,000 (£1,999).
