Mac Studio (M4 Max & M3 Ultra) was one of Apple's most powerful desktops available, built for video editing, music production, motion graphics & software development.

This model launched in 2025, positioned between the Mac mini & Mac Pro.

In March of 2026, Apple discontinued its high end Mac Pro desktop, with the Mac Studio taking its place as the most powerful Mac desktop available.

Despite the Mac Pro, Apple debuted their most powerful chip, the M3 Ultra, in the Studio. The company left the Mac Pro behind, with the M2 Ultra processor. As a result, the Mac Studio has been regarded as Apple's top end Mac model for a while.

Mac Studio is designed for professional workloads whose work requires the most powerful machine. It is also very capable in AI & machine learning workloads.
