MacBook Pro (M3) was Apple's first base-model MacBook Pro to use the new industrial design, removing the tapered design, using a larger screen with the notch, and adding many more ports.

This was the first pro-level MacBook with the mini-LED display panel for deeper blacks and better colour contrast. The refresh rate was also doubled up to 120Hz, with ProMotion.

The redesigned chassis removed the Touch Bar in favour of a full-sized function key row and Touch ID sensor.
