Apple has announced it will donate to relief efforts following devastating wildfires across southern Europe.
The fires have forced over 300,000 people to evacuate their homes across France, Spain and Portugal, according to a BBC News report.
In a post on X, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that ”our hearts go out to everyone affected by the devastating wildfires” and thanked first responders for their help.
He also said that ”Apple will be donating to relief efforts on the ground”.
The company regularly donates to support nations and communities following major natural disasters, such as after the Venezuela earthquake in June.
Apple never discloses how much they donate.
These wildfires come after a very dry start to summer, with one of the fires near Spain’s Capital, Madrid, burning an area that spans the distance of Greater London.
