Apple is making a donation to support relief efforts following flash floods and mudslides in Nepal and Tibet.

Announcing the donation via X, Apple CEO Tim Cook said:

"Our thoughts are with all those affected by the tragic flash floods and mudslides in Nepal and Tibet. Apple is making a donation to support relief and rebuilding efforts on the ground."

The flash flooding and mudslides have killed at least 489 people in Nepal, according to Nepali police via BBC News.

The Nepali government has also released the names of 500 missing foreign nationals, including 178 people from India, 65 from the US and 33 from the UK.

Apple did not disclose the amount they are donating, or who they will be making the donation to.
