After more than two decades, Apple has quietly revived its iconic 'Think Different' slogan on the Apple website.
The slogan was first spotted by X user @tgod34748, at the bottom of the Mac landing page on Apple's website.
Whilst it is unclear when the slogan first appeared on this page, a search on the Wayback Machine shows that it was not there a couple months ago, on May 18th.
The 'Think Different' marketing campaign dates back to 1997, following Steve Jobs' return to Apple.
Famous creatives and innovators such as Albert Einstein, Martin Luther King Jr and Pablo Picasso were featured as part of the campaign, helping it become one of Apple's most iconic slogans in history.
It has not been used since the early 2000s as Apple's marketing shifted to product-based campaigns.
Why Revive 'Think Different' Now?
The Think Different campaign marked a new era for Apple. Steve Jobs had just returned as CEO and had started simplifying the Mac lineup.
The following year, Apple released the iconic Bondi Blue iMac and a few years later in 2001, the company released the iPod, one of the biggest and most successful product categories in its history.
Now, as Tim Cook prepares to hand the torch over to hardware chief John Ternus, the return of 'Think Different' could symbolise another iconic period of Apple releases are coming.
We have already seen the release of MacBook Neo, the most affordable Mac ever that shook the laptop industry.
The first ever Touchscreen Mac is also rumoured to launch later this year, along with an all-new foldable iPhone.
These product plans show that Apple may be less safe in the coming years, launching new product categories and form-factors not seen from the company before.
Or, of course, it could just be a small Easter egg for longtime Mac and Apple fans.
