Apple has released macOS Tahoe 26.6.1, macOS Sequoia 15.7.9 and macOS Sonoma 14.8.9, to address a screen sharing vulnerability bug.
The update provides no new features, and is simply a security fix. The software update page on macOS Tahoe says:
"This update provides security fixes for your Mac."
On Apple's security releases page, the company has provided the following notes for all three platform versions:
Screen Sharing
Impact: An attacker on the network may be able to authenticate to Screen Sharing without valid credentials
Description: An authentication issue was addressed with improved state management. CVE-2026-65400: Alfredo Pesoli (@__rev) via Bynario Atlas (bynar.io)
If exploited, this bug could give unauthorised users access to your Mac*. The security-fix update is therefore recommended to all users.
