An Apple Store in Essex will be closed for one day on Friday, 11th September for renovations, as Apple continues to modernise and restructure some of its retail locations.
Apple Lakeside, in Lakeside Shopping Centre, will close early at 6pm on Thursday, 10th September. The store will remain closed on Friday, and reopen on Saturday morning at 9am.
The Thurrock store, near London, first opened in 2007 and was Apple's tenth retail store in the UK.
The company plans to bring multiple upgrades to the Lakeside store as part of the renovation, including:
- Apple Pickup
- Experience Room
- Dedicated Genius Bar
- Today at Apple
In a statement to AppleInsider, Apple said:
"We're excited to open the completely redesigned and upgraded Apple Lakeside, offering customers from across Essex and South East England new ways to discover and shop the latest Apple lineups,"
