Apple's backend shows evidence that Manchester's Bee Card could soon launch in Apple Wallet, according to Apple analyst Aaron Perris.

The transit card, an electronic ticketing scheme ran by Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM), allows city residents to quickly tap to scan into public transport such as buses and trams.

The backend code found by Perris, a MacRumors analyst, will let Bee Card users add a digital version to their wallet on iPhone and Apple Watch, so they can scan onto public transport using their Apple device instead.

If Manchesters Bee Card does launch on Apple Wallet, it will be the first travel card in the UK to do so.
