Amazon UK customers who pre-ordered the new M6 Mac mini for full retail price could receive a £50 refund under Amazon's Pre-Order Price Guarantee.
In August, Apple announced a refreshed Mac mini that customers could pre-order, with availability beginning tomorrow, 22nd September 2026.
The new minis start from £899, and were initially listed at their Recommended Retail Price, or RRP, on amazon.co.uk.
During the month-long pre-order period, Amazon began offering a small discount on the device, selling the Mac mini for about £849, or £50 off.
If you have placed your pre-order, and paid the full price - don't worry, as Amazon offers its Pre-Order Price Guarantee.
What is the Amazon Pre-Order Price Guarantee?
Amazon says customers with an eligible pre-order will pay the lowest price offered by Amazon between the time they place their order and the end of the day on the product's release date.
If the price did change, a customer would receive an automatic refund to their original payment method of the price difference. The order summary will also update within 48 hours to show the lowest pre-order price.
Items that support this guarantee are labelled as such with a green tag on both the products page and at checkout. The Mac mini M6 had the price guarantee label.
You do not need to cancel any existing order to claim the discounted price.
How Can I Check my Final Price?
Navigate to the returns and orders tab on the Amazon website or app, and find the order you placed for the M6 Mac mini.
Click 'View Order Details', and you'll be taken to a page with your order information. This includes:
- Delivery Address
- Order Number
- Your Subtotal
- Your Grand Total
If you pre-ordered the Mac mini at £899 and Amazon's £50 price reduction applies to your order, the lower price should be reflected in your order information. Amazon says price changes can take up to 48 hours to appear in the order summary.
