Apple's Executive Chairman Tim Cook has today met The King at Battersea Power Station in London to launch a new King's Trust initiative that offers young people opportunities to learn more about the creative industry from Apple experts.
King Charles III met with Apple's former CEO, Tim Cook, on Wednesday where they joined in with a range of sessions taking place at Apple's campus in London.
They were also joined by Sir Elton John, and spoke to a range of young people taking part in the labs.
They then watched a performance by Skye Newman at Apple Music Hall, a new live music venue that was opened by Apple late last month.
In a post on X, the Royal Family said:
The King and @Tim_Cook have spent time with young people taking part in the newly launched @Apple x King’s Trust Creative Labs The Creative Labs offer young people opportunities to learn from Apple’s experts across various creative industries as they explore potential career pathways. 🎧 The new programme builds on a long-running partnership between Apple and The @KingsTrust and launches during the Trust’s 50th anniversary year.
Both Apple and The King's Trust have marked their 50th anniversary this year, and the King's Trust has previously partnered with Apple before.
In December 2024, The King met Tim Cook - who was then CEO of Apple - at Battersea Power Station to meet with people who had gained coding skills as part of educational programs under The King's Trust that are supported by Apple.
This also highlights the different approach John Ternus is taking in the CEO role. He was not in attendance today, with Tim Cook instead representing the company.
