In a new report, MacRumors has identified dozens of device codenames appearing in the latest macOS Beta, that backup many rumours of upcoming iPhones, home devices and most notably - AirPods with cameras.

A new HomePod mini has made an appearance in the code, codenamed B525. MacRumors says the current HomePod mini uses the codename B520.

The rumoured home hub with a screen has also made an appearance, with Apple referencing 'J490' and 'J491' in Siri setup code.

The name for Apple's upcoming homeOS software, Pebble, has made an appearance. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has previously reported on this codename.

A list of five colours have also been found, these are Rose Pink, Silver, Space Grey, and Starlight. MacRumors says it is unclear what these colours are for.

AirPods

Apple could be releasing some new AirPods Pro 4 as soon as next month, as they have appeared in macOS 27 code. The new device is named AirPodsPro1,4.

AirPods with cameras have been spotted, with what appears to be a demo video appearing in macOS 27. The video depicts a man wearing AirPods, holding a book up to his face. A VoiceOver then says:

With visual intelligence, your world becomes savable. See something you like? Just ask me to save it for later.

MacRumors also reports that an alert appears asking you to uncover the AirPods, if they are covered.

iPhone, Mac & iPad

In addition to all-new devices, existing products we are expecting to refresh later this year, have appeared. Here's a list of all iPhone, Mac & iPad devices identified in the code:

  • iPhone 18 Pro (V63)
  • iPhone Air 2 (V62)
  • iPhone 18 (V67)
  • MacBook Pro (J804)
  • iMac (J833 & J834)
  • iPad mini (J510 & J511)

Many of these devices are rumoured to launch later this year, with the new iPhones expected next month, potentially alongside some new home devices and AirPods.

It is interesting that there has been no word on the lower end AirPods 5 or any Apple Watch Models, in this release.
