iPad (10th generation)

iPad (10th generation) was the first model in the base iPad lineup to remove the home button and use the all-screen design.

This update introduced four new finishes and removed the lightning connector in favour of the USB-C port.

The devices cameras were improved, the front camera was moved to the landscape side of the tablet and the speakers were moved either side of the device for better audio quality.

Apple was criticised for selling the Lightning connector Apple Pencil (1st generation) with the iPad, which required an additional adapter to work with the device.

The device’s screen is non-laminated, meaning there is a small air gap between the top glass and screen itself. This results in a less premium feel and less accuracy when using an Apple Pencil, though the difference is negligible.

Display

10.9-inch Retina Display with 60Hz refresh rate. The screen is not laminated, so there is a gap between the screen and front glass.
