iPhone 11 was Apple's mainstream consumer device that made it's debut in 2019, and was the first iPhone model to use two distinct camera lenses on the back, after a few years of combined dual camera systems.
The iPhone 11 series introduced Night Mode to the camera, allowing you to take better quality low-light photos for the first time on an iPhone.
iPhone 11 had an LCD display, which was not as good as the OLED displays on previous iPhone X and iPhone XS models.
This device was created as more of a mainstream device that did not offer as premium features as Apple's X lines, and feels like a modern take on Apple's standard lineup which previously ended at iPhone 8.
To fill the premium gap, Apple introduced the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max alongside this device.
iPhone 11 is one of the longest supported iPhone models in history, launching with iOS 13 and receiving updates up until iOS 27 in 2026. That's seven different software versions as Apple skipped iOS 19 for year-based naming to iOS 26.
