Mac mini (M4 & M4 Pro) was the first Apple Silicon Mac mini model to receive an external chassis redesign, featuring a much smaller size so the desktop takes up less space on your desk.

This device was announced in a short YouTube video by Apple’s then-SVP of Hardware Engineering, John Ternus, in October 2024. It made it’s debut alongside the M4 iMac and M4 generation of MacBook Pros.

Launching at just £599, with 16GB of memory and a 256GB SSD, the device was praised for its amazing value. Students could grab the device for £499 on the education store.

In its final months, the base model 256GB variant was briefly taken off sale, presumably due to the rising costs of memory chips and SSDs. The new entry price was therefore £799, for the 512GB variant.

In June of 2026, the base model Mac mini returned with a £200 price hike, starting from £799. The 512GB model, previously £799, now started from £999.

mini supports a wide range of input devices including Windows keyboards & PlayStation controllers.

3x Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, 2x front USB-C ports, 1x HDMI port, 1x Ethernet port and a headphone jack. Mac mini with M4 Pro comes with Thunderbolt 5.

Built-in speaker (external speakers recommended for better sound quality).
