Apple has announced the date that iPhone Duo buyers can get ready for pre-orders on the 16th October, to breeze through checkout and get any paperwork out of the way.
The all-new iPhone Duo, Apple's first-ever foldable iPhone, releases next month on Friday, 23rd October 2026. On this date, customers who have pre-ordered the device will be able to pick up their orders and begin to receive their deliveries for the device. Additionally, Apple's retail stores and third-party retailers will have the device in stock for walk-in customers.
Pre-orders open about a week before availability, on Friday 16th October at 1pm BST. On this day we expect Apple to close its online store and begin a queue system for pre-orders.
As the iPhone Duo is an all-new form factor for Apple, it is expected to be a high-demand release. This could lead to delivery dates slipping to weeks away, as we saw with the iPhone 18 Pro launch.
Therefore, Apple is allowing customers to 'get ready' from Monday, 12th October. During this process, you can select your finish, storage and any accessories you want for your new iPhone Duo. Apple then takes payment details and allows you to process payment plan applications or contract details.
This will give many customers an equal chance of getting their iPhone Duo on launch day, as customers can simply place the order on pre-order day.
