Apple's $250 million (£184.4 million) Siri settlement is now open for claims, allowing eligible US consumers who bought certain iPhone models between June 2024 and March 2025 to claim up to $95 per device.
But what does that mean for UK iPhone owners?
Unfortunately, UK customers cannot claim under this settlement. The case is limited to eligible consumers in the United States, who meet the following requirements:
- You must be the original purchaser of the device
- The device must be an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16e, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro or iPhone 16 Pro Max
- You must live in the United States
- You must have purchased the device in the US between 10 June 2024 to 29 March 2025
- The phone must have been for personal or business use only and not for resale
The requirements may also cut off iPhone 16 buyers who bought their device after March 2025, and those who purchased their device in the United States but no longer live in the country.
All conditions must be met to qualify.
Is there a UK Siri settlement?
There doesn't appear to be any similar settlements taking place in the UK right now. While Apple Intelligence launched in the UK in December 2024, the more advanced Siri features Apple had previewed were not available at that time. Apple eventually began rolling out Siri AI in the UK two years later, on 14 September 2026.
Is Apple Facing Any Other Legal Action in the UK?
Apple is currently facing a separate case related to iCloud, brought against the tech giant by consumer group Which?.
in June, the group successfully brought a class action lawsuit against Apple, which could see a £3bn claim shared between millions of UK iCloud users.
The allege that Apple has trapped it's users into their proprietary cloud storage service, a claim the company disputes.
However, the case is not expected until October 2028, and is for UK customers who used iCloud between 8 November 2018 and 8 June 2026.
Final Thoughts
Despite the headlines that 'iPhone owners can now claim $95', this is exclusive to the US only, for customers who purchased one of seven iPhone models between a nine-month period.
If you don't live in the United States, or have never owned an iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, or any iPhone 16 model, you can simply disregard the settlement.
For UK readers, there is currently no equivalent Siri settlement to claim from. Apple is, however, facing separate proceedings over iCloud in the UK, with a trial currently scheduled for October 2028.
This case is unrelated to the Siri settlement and has not resulted in any payouts so far.
