Apple's latest flagship iPhone models, iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, have encountered some issues where the device restarts unexpectedly during use. Apple has acknowledged this issue and says a fix will roll out early next week.
Apple's new iPhone and Apple Watch models have had a bumpy first week since launch. Many customers have reported unexpected restarts to their devices, resulting in the release of watchOS 27.0.1 last night, exclusive to Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 users.
A similar update, iOS 27.0.1 is expected next week, according to 9to5Mac.
Apple told 9to5Mac that it "will release a software update early next week", fixing the issue that is believed to emerge after a "failed Face ID attempt."
Apple moved the Face ID sensor of the iPhone 18 Pro series under the display to the top left of the device. This allowed the company to reduce the size of the Dynamic Island.
This has led to unverified reports on social media of a degraded Face ID experience, with the authentication method reportedly failing more times than usual.
