iPhone 17 prices could increase as early as this week, according to Weibo leaker Fixed Focus Digital via 9to5Mac.

The post from Fixed Focus Digital does not provide the source, simply claiming that "rumors are circulating", according to the 9to5Mac report.

The publication also says that the leaker has a good track record, feeding many rumours about the upcoming iPhone Fold and iPhone 18 Pro lineup. Though, these are yet to materialise.

There are also no details about which iPhone models could see a price hike.

Apple is expected to replace the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max with a newer generation next month, so these may not see a price hike one month before they are discontinued.

Likely candidates would be iPhone 17 and iPhone Air, which are expected to stick around until spring next year.

Apple may want to get the price rises for existing models out of the way before the September event, to prevent having to acknowledge them during the keynote.

iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are expected to debut with higher prices, following Mac, iPad and other price hikes in June.

However, an iPhone Air price hike may be a hard pill to swallow, considering it is already £999 and commonly sold at retailers with about £200 off.
