Apple has reportedly sent multiple legal letters directly to OpenAI employees regarding their lawsuit that alleges former employees have stolen trade secrets for the company, according to a report from the Financial Times via 9to5Mac.

Last week, Apple filed a lawsuit against OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, claiming their employees were sharing trade secrets based on upcoming Apple products and projects.

New reports now suggest that Apple has sent some of these employees formal notices asking them to keep documents or other materials that may relate to the lawsuit. These are known as preservation letters.

The total number of letters is believed to be around 40.
