Apple's outgoing CEO Tim Cook, and incoming CEO John Ternus, have hosted the Pokemon team and Pikachu at Apple Park.
Since announcing the leadership transition in April, Cook has been preparing Ternus for the CEO role. This includes meeting with many Apple partners and customers, including the Pokemon team who have over ten popular games on the Apple App Store.
In a short video on X, Tim Cook posted a video of one of Pokémon's most famous characters, Pikachu, exploring the Apple Park Campus. Cook also handed Pikachu an Apple, after he attempted to pick one from a tree on the Campus.
Both Apple Executives were joined by Pokémon CEO, Tsunekazu Ishihara.
This comes as the transition approaches an end, with John Ternus taking over as Apple CEO in just 5 days time. Throughout this transition, Cook and Ternus have made joint appearances together, including at the Ted Lasso Season 4 premiere in late July. They have continued to emphasise that Apple will not change much under the new CEO, wearing matching clothes in these appearances.
Cook will not leave the company, as he becomes Apple Executive Chairman on 1st September.
