Apple has released the Developer Beta 5 of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 Golden Gate, watchOS 27, visionOS 27 and tvOS 27 after a long 3-week gap between releases. This release is not expected to bring any major features to Apple's platforms, as the company is now working on bug fixes and performance enhancements to the software before release next month. However, Apple has introduced some new app icons and introduced a new expressive Siri voice.
As this is a developer beta, only users with an Apple Developer account can download the release. We expect the next public beta sometime this week.
How To Download The Developer Betas
Users with an Apple Developer Account, who are also part of the Apple Beta Programme will see a beta updates section under the Software Update tab in settings. A dropdown will then show all available beta software that you can download. The current list is:
- OS 27 Developer Beta
- OS 27 Public Beta
- OS 26 Developer Beta
- OS 26 Public Beta
