Apple has released macOS Golden Gate 27.0.1 to address bugs following the public release two weeks ago.
The release notes for macOS 27.0.1 do not give much away, simply stating that "This update provides bug fixes for your Mac.". This release is much less descriptive compared to the iOS 27.0.1 release notes, which provided a detailed list of what had been fixed.
Buggy Start to macOS Golden Gate
I have experienced a buggy start to macOS Golden Gate, to a point where I believe I have had a worse experience on this version than compared to macOS Tahoe, which proved unpopular among the Mac community.
The issues I have encountered include the Notification Centre crashing, a disappearing Control Centre, and my Mission Control windows getting stuck.
The list continues, and you can find out more details by reading the full story here.
Update 29/09/26:
After updating to macOS 27.0.1, I have encountered the Notification Centre bug yet again. As I previously reported, on macOS 27.0 the Notification Centre crashed a couple of times. I could not open the menu and had the notification card stuck halfway on my screen.
To fix the bug I had to either kill the Notification Centre with terminal or restart my Mac.

Other Releases
Today, Apple also released iOS 27.0.1, iPadOS 27.0.1 and updates to macOS Tahoe and macOS Sequoia with macOS 26.7.1 and macOS 15.8.1.
Last week, Apple released watchOS 27.0.1 exclusive to the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 to fix an unexpected restart bug.
