John Ternus’ First Keynote as CEO

Apple’s new CEO is presenting his first Apple keynote since taking to his new role.

iPhone Duo

Apple is expected to launch it’s first foldable iPhone, rumoured to be called the iPhone Duo. It will feature two displays, a dual camera system, Touch ID, a slim titanium frame and it might even have a creaseless design.

iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max

This year’s pro iPhone’s could receive major camera upgrades, including variable aperture and increased digital zoom.

We’re expecting a burgundy red, light blue, silver and potentially black finish. The external design will have a similar look to the iPhone 17 Pro, with the same aluminium unibody frame.

Apple Watch Series 12 & Ultra 4

The Series 12 and Ultra 4 Apple Watches are expected to get a new chip, either S11 or S12, which will help power some additional AI capabilities, potentially including a feature where AI can summarise your day for you.

In addition, the heart rate sensor could get an always-on mode and new colours and bands are expected, including a white ceramic finish for the Series 12.

AirPods 5

New AirPods could be on their way. Whilst AirPods Pro 3 will remain, AirPods 4 and AirPods 4 ANC could be replaced.

The changes may include improved noise cancellation of the AirPods 5 ANC, improved battery life and potentially the volume adjust gesture according to some last minute rumours.

Apple TV & HomePods

Many Apple users are waiting for the moment Apple releases new HomePod and TV devices. Today could be that day, or Apple may hold off a little longer.

If these products do refresh, the hardware is expected to look the same but with newer chips, Siri AI and Apple Intelligence support and new colours.

The HomePod speakers could also receive an upgrade.

Pre-orders

Pre-orders for Apple Watches, AirPods and other accessories, such as new cases and watch bands, may happen today.

Apple usually delays iPhone pre-orders until Friday, though they could fall on Saturday 12th September due to the 25th anniversary of 9/11.

iPhone Duo could see a later October launch according to Mark Gurman, so pre-orders may not open for that device until later.
