Apple has had a big day, releasing its all-new iPhone Duo to the public after a much-anticipated one-month launch. Apple’s leadership team made appearances at a handful of stores, including in New York City, Texas and London.
London

Apple marked the launch of iPhone Duo in the UK by opening all of its 39 stores early at 8am, but went a step further at Apple Covent Garden with an installation of oversized iPhone Duos outside the front.
In attendance was Apple Vice President of iPhone Marketing, Kaiann Drance, who spoke about the versatility of the iPhone Duo and told Sean Keach that she will be using the Duo ceaseless and told foldable skeptics that “this is not like other foldables, its an iPhone”, encouraging them to come and try it out.
New York City

Apple’s flagship retail location in New York City, Apple Fifth Avenue, with the iconic glass cube that leads you downstairs into an expansive underground store, had a large hands-on area for iPhone Duo to serve the huge crowds of people who attended the store opening.
Opening the doors at 8am were Apple’s SVP of Worldwide Marketing Greg Joswiak, alongside Vanessa Trigub, an Apple Retail executive widely expected to be Deidre O’Brien’s successor.
Notably, O’Brien and CEO John Ternus were not in NYC.
Austin

Ternus’ and O’Brien’s absences were explained a little later in the day when Apple Domain NORTHSIDE opened in Texas.
They opened the store in the Texas capital to huge crowds, though it remains unclear why they chose this store.
One possibility could be that the F1 takes place in Austin on the weekend. Apple currently holds the rights to the racing programme via its streaming service Apple TV.
