Apples’ only retail location in Basingstoke, UK, is officially closing in about two weeks’ time on Saturday, 21st November 2026.

It was reported about a month ago that Apple employees at the store had been informed of the closure date, but Apple had not officially confirmed the date to the public.

Now, on the official retail page for Apple Festival Place, Apple has said:

Thank you, Basingstoke. This store is closing and the last day of trade is November 21.

This means if you are a Basingstoke local, the last day you'll be able to visit your local Apple Store is on the 21st. When the store closes its door on that Saturday evening, it will be the last time in 15 years since opening in August 2011.

Shoppers in the area who wish to keep visiting an Apple Store will need to make a 40-minute trip to Reading and visit Apple The Oracle. Apple's store in Reading itself is set to undergo a refurbishment at some point in late November and early December to cater for the increased traffic following the Festival Place closure.

Apple employees at Festival Place have reportedly been offered positions at The Oracle, but the distance may be inconvenient for some.

If you live in or nearby Basingstoke and do not want to make the trip to Reading, the town does have a Currys that sells Apple devices and offers a table of demo Apple units for you to check out.
