New Apple Intelligence Features in watchOS 27.3

Apple has debuted Siri Recap and Live Rewind in the first watchOS 27.3 developer beta.

Live Rewind is a feature where you can go back 15 seconds and see a transcript of what has just been said if you missed something. Siri Recap listens throughout your day and creates a summary of points you can revisit at a later date.

These features have been built with privacy in mind, with the user unable to access full conversations and voice recordings. Apple also says that they audio is not stored anywhere, and is therefore not accessible to anyone.

These new Apple Intelligence features are only available on the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4.

Safari Changes

Safari now supports vertical tabs in the 27.3 betas, a popular feature offered by other browsers that was noticeably absent from Apple's own browser. The vertical bar can show just the website favicon, or both the favicon and page title just like in the traditional view.

There is also a new adaptive dark mode option that can turn websites without a native dark mode option to dark. According to MacRumors, there is an option for website developers to ignore this, and it will also be ignored if a website already offers theming.

List of other changes

• Updates to StandBy Mode on iPhone 11 and newer
• New Apple Fitness+ strength workout additions
• New iPhone Duo reachability feature that moves the entire screen left or right (similar to how current iPhones can move down)
• Siri AI can take further action in apps including Calendar, Journal and Messages
• New AirPods beta firmware
