Apple September Event

The 2026 September event was big for multiple reasons. This was John Ternus' first event since becoming CEO, opening the keynote with "Hello and welcome to Apple Park", breaking away from Tim Cook's iconic good mornings.

Cook did not present during this keynote, though he did make an opening cameo.

Ternus had another first during the Apple Event, his first 'One more thing' moment. Of course, this was the iPhone Duo, Apple's first foldable phone.

iPhone Duo is the first major change in form factor to the iPhone in history, which required a reimagined iOS experience. Craig Federighi spoke a little about this change, you can read more about that here.
