Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports that the all-glass iPhone to mark the devices 20th anniversary next year is still on track, following rumours it had been cancelled. Yesterday, a new report from analyst firm Jefferies, suggested that the all-glass redesign of the iPhone had been cancelled. The analyst, Edison Lee, had believed that the device would be too expensive, considering current events, and that Apple had therefore cancelled the device. However, a new report from Gurman, citing "people familiar with the matter", said that the iPhone roadmap has not changed. This suggests the iPhone is still getting its glassy redesign as soon as next year.
What Will The 20th Anniversary iPhone Look Like?
In the same report, Gurman says that due to limitations, the iPhone will not be fully glass, as you might expect. Instead, the iPhone will feature a glass front and back which will
"curve into the sides of the devices, with a metal band in the middle."
The plural of 'devices' suggests we may be getting a wider lineup of glass iPhones, rather than just one model as seen with the iPhone X to mark the 10th anniversary in 2017.
