iPhone X has officially joined Apple's list of obsolete products, as first spotted by MacRumors.
This iPhone model has become iconic, as the first iPhone model to remove the home button, introduced Face ID, and was the first Apple device to feature the infamous notch that still survives in some iPhone and Mac models today.
Apple classes all products that have not been sold for 7 years, as obsolete. iPhone X was introduced in 2017, and sold for one year until it was taken off sale in 2018.
As an obsolete device, the product is no longer available for servicing by Apple. The company says:
Apple discontinues all hardware service for obsolete products, and service providers cannot order parts for obsolete products.
iPhone X joins the ever-growing list of 23 other iPhone models that are labelled as obsolete. This includes the original iPhone, iPhone 3G & 3GS, and iPhone 8 series.
Apple has already dropped software support for this device in 2023, with the release of iOS 17.
