Apple will donate to relief efforts following a magnitude 6.8 earthquake in the southern Japanese city of Kumamoto.
The earthquake hit Japan at 16:27 local time (8:27 BST) on Tuesday, according to BBC News.
At least 13 are dead and teams are still searching for missing survivors.
In a post on X, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that ”Japan has a very special place in my heart" and that he was "thinking of everyone" as aftershocks hit Japan.
Cook also said that Apple was "grateful to the first responders" and that the company "is making a donation to support relief efforts."
This comes just hours after Tim Cook said Apple would donate to relief efforts following the wildfires in southern Europe.
