AppleCare One officially launches in the UK today, 4th August, following Apple's announcement last week.
The plan allows Apple users to cover three devices on one monthly plan, for £16.99 a month. The company also allows additional devices on the plan, for an extra £4.99 per device.
Customers who have older devices that have missed the 60-day AppleCare period can cover these products on an AppleCare One plan. Devices already in poor condition, or older than four years, may not be eligible, according to Apple's website.
When a device is covered under AppleCare, customers pay less for repairs if they damage their device.
For example, Apple quotes a repair fee of £429 for 'Screen and back glass damage' on an iPhone 17 Pro.
With an AppleCare plan, this is reduced to a £29 excess fee.

Users who regularly damage or lose their devices multiple times a year may benefit from this plan.
However, if you have never found yourself to damage or lose a device, it may be better to skip the plan, and save some money towards an unexpected repair instead.
AppleCare One will provide peace of mind to many Apple users, but it could end up costing an additional £203.88 a year, with little to no use of the service provided.
